Volunteers
are needed now!
-
School’s out, summer
camp is in—This club for kids welcomes assistants
in diverse programs, including arts and crafts; sports,
fitness, and recreation; and marine ecology. You can help
get teens job-ready, teach younger children safety awareness,
and facilitate goals for growth in all ages. Volunteer opportunities
abound in two A.C. locations: Chelsea Heights and Pennsylvania
Avenue. Please call or e-mail us for more information.
- Always “in”:
assisting those with disabilities—To help clients lead
independent and purposeful lives, you can aid consumers in
the Outsource Center, work on landscaping and maintenance,
or be on a special events team. This Egg Harbor City facility
offers rewarding work for those who care. Do you? Let us hear
from you.
AN IMPORTANT TIP: CALL 211!
For referrals to health
and human services, community resources, or government assistance
programs, call 211. A free and confidential service, 211 provides
referral services for basic human needs, physical and mental
health, child and elder care, and employment supports, and offers
a wide variety of other assistance. (Multi-lingual/TTY/TTD.)
