United
Way’s Volunteer Center of Atlantic County
Directory of Volunteer Opportunities Available
United Way’s Volunteer Center of
Atlantic County has developed a guide to help individuals and
groups interested in volunteering find appropriate opportunities,
called “Volunteering in Atlantic County”.
The guide contains a listing of volunteer
opportunities available throughout the year at dozens of nonprofit
organizations. Each organization’s listing includes contact
information, a brief description of the organization’s
mission, a mini-job description for each volunteer position,
minimum age requests and the time volunteers are needed. In
addition to the alphabetical organization listings, the guide
includes helpful tips in choosing the right position, a seasons
of service guide to annual days of volunteering, and helpful
indexes organized by geographic location, areas of interest
and skills, and age group.
Ask for “Volunteering in Atlantic
County” at your local library or school, or stop in the
United Way of Atlantic County offices at 4 East Jimmie Leeds
Road, Suite 10, in Galloway. For more information, contact the
Volunteer Center at 609-404-9945 or email volunteer@unitedwayac.org.
