VINELAND, NJ, February 28, 2005 – Sun National Bank and its employees today officially donated $117,597.44 to local United Ways to support the needs of children, youth, families and seniors in South Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. This year’s donation, which includes employee donations and a corporate match, marks the second consecutive year that the bank and its employees made a record contribution to United Way.

“Each year Sun National Bank and its employees seem to top the previous year’s efforts through their annual United Way Day in the fall,” said John Emge, executive director of United Way of Atlantic County. “And every year, we see how this company and its employees truly care about those that United Way serves. We are proud to be a partner with Sun National Bank in supporting ‘what matters’ in our local communities.”

“Being a community bank is Sun’s corporate social philosophy and it would not be a real thing without our employees,” said Thomas A. Bracken, president and CEO, Sun National Bank. “I am constantly amazed at what our employees are capable of when it comes to serving our communities, and the epitome of their support is demonstrated through their United Way contributions each year. We are honored to make a difference in the communities we serve.”

Local United Ways are independent, volunteer-driven organizations that conduct annual community fundraising campaigns to support local programs provided by health and human services agencies. Volunteers closely monitor these programs to assure effective and efficient use of donor dollars.
