About
Us
United Way of Atlantic County brings
people and resources together to solve pressing community problems by
nurturing children and at-risk youth, strengthening families by providing
basic needs, promoting physical and mental wellness, empowering the
handicapped and disabled, enhancing the quality of life for older adults,
and addressing today's critical needs.
United Way of Atlantic County is a local,
independent, volunteer driven organization that conducts a once a year
workplace fundraising campaign that supports some 70 programs at 35
local health and human services agencies, touching the lives of over
100,000 people who live in Atlantic County.
United Way of Atlantic County keeps
fundraising costs low so that nearly all contributions go to fund programs
that help people in need.
United Way of Atlantic County volunteers
review the performance of local agencies and distribute donations to
those that are well-managed and have demonstrated results.
United Way of Atlantic County works
with businesses and community organizations to improve existing services
in the community.
